I have a set of French doors that lead from my dining room to my sunroom. Opening the doors to have a unrestricted space / view, requires me to move the furniture out of the way to store them flat against the sunroom walls.
Ideally I would replace the doors with hidden French doors building false walls into both sides of each door. However, the walls on the dining room are too short to store such doors. Building false walls on the sunroom side would probably cost too much because of the design of the walls / structure.
What I'm wondering, is if anyone has 4 piece French doors that would slide into themselves making the opening slightly narrower than full French doors but with the option of opening fully if needed.
Unfortunately I can't seem to download picture
How about something like this?
They make 4 panel sliders, but only the center two panels move.
I have never seen a 4 panel pocket door, which is what you seem to be looking for. It could probably be done as a custom job for $$$Texas.

I think we're supposed to be calling them Freedom Doors now.
Are they necessary for any reason? In an old house I had there were double bifold doors leading from the living room to the sunroom/breakfast nook. One look at them and I decided the best solution available was to take them down and throw them away. Within a week I'd forgotten they even existed and the flow was much better.
In reply to KyAllroad:
The doors are closed during the winter unless the wood burner is running.
They are also closed in the heat of summer. There are simply too many windows to heat and cool that room all year around using forced air and ac.
In reply to OHSCrifle:
Something similar to that but with two doors on each side.
Even better if each side could slide into a pocket wall after folding.

Is this an insulated wall?
If so, you can't do a pocket (the "pocket" would have to be uninsulated).
If not, it can be done, but it would be custom. There is no off-the-shelf application that would do what you want.
There are, however, multiple leaf pocket doors. 2 leaves slide one way, 2 the other. Still no insulation, still basically custom (it's a creative use of off-the-shelf hardware).
In reply to SVreX:
No this wall is not insulated.
It is an interior wall. The sunroof was designed to be used as a four season room. When I purchased the home it quickly became apparent that trying to heat and cool this room with the rest of the house would be foolish because of the cost
How about this?

That might work.
In reply to OHSCrifle:
No experience with them, so YMMV. That floor track looks a bit ornery.

What about the sliding barn door style that is increasingly popular? They'd still slide along the wall like a pocket door, but they'd be outside instead of inside, so you wouldn't have to customize a super thick pocket in the current wall.

The door needs to be weather tight.
