Yup. Lotta stuff down there that I'd rather not get soaked. 

In 5-6 months I'll be looking for an NC Miata complete front subframe :) maybe we'll see some NCs come up cheap..

The way Mazda's rust up here in 5-6 months a salt water flooded NC subframe might be orange dust!

Searching IAAI for vehicles 2000 and older with a manual transmission.

Same search had an NSX, an S2K, MGB, Old ford Pickup, 64 Vette, replica bathtub Porsche and oddly an FJ80 that wasn't the cleanest, but looked more like it had been rinsed off after a weekend of intentionally getting dirty.
