Van is stellar!

Any of these float your boat?
I have a Vega, but it's a Jungle Jim funny car.
The Pontiac has an LS motor in it correct? Then that's the one. I have too many Vettes to add another to the collection even if I'm trading one out.

Aside from the paint trouble, I'm happy with it. The silver looks aged/worn and the purple chipped in a few places so let's just pretend this van has been on the road for 10 years and been through a lot of van parties in dusty fields. The tv/entertainment stand came from an old Revell custom van parts pack, and the bed is a piece of hard foam covered with some fabric I found. I positioned the passenger swivel chair to be aimed at the tv. The "sliding" door is mounted with a magnet glued to the inside of the body so I can pull it away and show the interior better. (That's also why it's kind of angled, because I didn't get it lined up perfectly for the photo.)
I still suck at taking photos.
That's hawt

Reminds me I need to revisit my van youth.
Need to finish the louvers, do all the stainless trim, and add the side mirror.
Not a fan of this kit. The bumpers are scale too thick and don't fit well. So close.
It's always the "final" photos that make me notice something I forgot. So, here's the front marker lights painted.
In reply to slowbird :
Oh, you too....I find many things in the photos that I do not see when I am working on a model, or when it is first declared "finished". Usually OK by the 3rd declaration

Yup El Es Juan. I have your address, I'll ship it out
Cool. I'll use the same packaging to send out the Vette if that's okay.
Done save for the louvers. Not sure they'll get done. Yes there are sidepipes. As on the movie car. I left the real exhaust because who knows if they swapped it out? Need to take a closer look at the video clip.
Beautiful Datsun and Hippy Van. I'm no historical genius, but during that era, I was building the World's Scariest Volvo , shouldn't the van have the same tires I have on my 1800 - 265/295-50/15" tires? Needs more flares. And shouldn't the Z car have a 350 Chevy motor because just as I was catching up to them, they where cheating by upping the cylinder count?
In reply to VolvoHeretic :
The Z is a replica of the car used in Corvette Summer that's on display in a casino.

Oh crap, I forgot about that scene!
Not a good copy, but it's in there. Mark Hamill is not very good!

I've seen it a lot. I have it on VHS. It corrupted me early!

It's probably the story of my life. lol At least the clothing.
I want to get back into the modeling arts. I don't think that I will ever finish building the wheels, let alone build my 1/5 scale 8 wheeled track roadster. I needs me any C3 model and some giant hippy van wheels and tires. 10" wide front and 12" rear wheels and 285/315 tires. I have an idea for some great flares for the Vett. I even used to know how to airbrush. Then I want to modify a 1970 Z28 SS split bumper Camaro with shaved front fenders and hidden headlights and the same tires and wheels with more giant flares. Just because, you know - flares.

Trust me; you can see all of that movie you need to in a couple YouTube clips. It's pretty horrible.
Welp, I'm going to go ahead and declare myself the winner of this one, even thought it's abundantly clear that the real winner was the friends we made along the way.
