In reply to Keith Tanner :

Thanks Keith.  Do you have a thread for your old Series Landy?  I'd love to have something around up North and light (not what you're doing) off roading.

It predates web forums. But there's this very old website.

Yes I've posted that pic before, but not in this thread.

A day late, but AWD counts as 4x4, right?

I do dumb stuff sometimes, but I get a huge pucker feeling at this.

The guy riding beside me said it was like being in the front pew at church, he could see everything and he was praying :) Wasn't really that big a problem, just straight steps. Feels more dramatic than it is. The sketchiest part is that the old Land Rover has four unassisted drum brakes on a single line system. Here's the series.

Here's a view of the whole thing. BTW, the trail is called "Steel bender" in Moab. I've also driven up the thing in the same Landy.

Not shown here - me bringing a Wrangler down Moab Rim with only one functioning front brake and no functioning rear brakes because only idiots like my brother in law let brake hoses rub on macho tires. I was tasked with recovery. That was sketchy at times, Moab Rim is not without some exposure.
