It is always a slippery slope looking at half finished projects that can be had for pennies on the dollar.
I flipped a lot of planes in High School.
I call this photo: "Kazoospec wins the lotto."

That would be pretty sweet.
Thanks for the post, that looks like it could still be built.
I don't think I want to ruin something that might still be viable...
Does look cool though,
I swear I'm an idiot savant when it comes to aviation. I took one look at that shell, and said, "Oh. That's a Mini 500."

Was it this one?My Dad and I bought it so we could get our twin rating. It was cheaper than renting a plane. We kept it at Pontiac airport then sold it to a guy that was going to use it as a Bank Delivery plane. After flying with him on the test flight I figured he was going to lawn dart it when his heart gave out fro all the coke and speed he t

Cool, thanks for the sneak preview.
I should be getting some from your friend via text, but keep these coming if you have more.
Thanks!
I must admit I just read the title before I took off to a weekend swap meet. Found a BD-5 jet body and it got in my brain. Then my friend tells me he has a Bell helicopter jet engine for cheap. I may need to study the $20XX challenge rules.
I know this is not relevant to this particular topic, but just had to spill.

Close enough to topic, lol.
What swap meet was that?
In reply to Appleseed :
If you ever get serious about that engine let me know. I have some books ( I think still) on the C20B (or Allison 250 in the civilian world) I have worked on a LOT of them over the years.
Pate Swap meet at Texas Motor Speedway. I go every year and sell stuff!
My buddy is my local scrap yard connection and finds some odd stuff.

My apologies if this has already been posted, but this guy might have one to sell for cheap.

"Timothy Kniess of Iron Station proved he is one of the luckiest men in North Carolina on Wednesday when he survived crashing a helicopter he'd bought with his $100,000 lottery winnings."
Interesting stuff everyone.
Keep it coming, even though I think I have a good lead, I'm still looking until I work out a deal.

My friend has a small home built in his backyard for his kids to play in ,
