Help! I was changing the belt on the dryer with it plugged in. and something shorted. Luckily during the electrocution I figured out how the belt should go, but once I put the machine back together and flipped the circuit breaker it was dead like there was a blown fuse in it, but I can't find a fuse anywhere. It is a Propane powered Maytag #PYG2000AWW

What size hammer where you using?
Do you have a bigger hammer you can use?

Hope the linky worky
Dryers are dead simple. If you can wipe your own ass, you can repair a dryer. There is a "motor protector" in the circuit. Look for a reset switch on the motor.

have you tried a shotgun?
ducttape?
Seriously, as said above, dryers are dead simple. If nothing is working, look for the protector
Propane powered? I would have unplugged it.

I seem to be dumber than I look. besides unplging the washer instead of the dryer, I pulled apart the whole machine today. It doesn't look much like the above diagram and whatever the motor protector is I could not identify it in anyway. I guess we're off to the laundrymat again.

Hank Hill Approved.
We just got rid of our propane powered dryer ... thank god that thing sucked propane faster then I could imagine .... nothing worse then getting yelled at by the wife in the cold rain that the dryer stopped working and I gotta go change the tank!
