Killing Virginia Creeper?

I done lived here in Varginny the last 40 yars, and I'll be dinged if I knows whut Varginny creeper is!

I've got a neighbor that has Virginia creeper and air potato vines all over the other side of my fence.
The air potato isn't as big of a problem as it was since the state released some insects that feed on them. I'm constantly having to dig out the Virginia creeper roots on the sides of the house, since roundup doesn't kill them. Glad to pick up some new ideas here. 

Oh, you mean Parthenocissus quinquefolia.  Yeah, I've got that too, but compared to some of the other stuff I do constant battle with, it's relatively easy to keep in check.

I was going to suggest nuking it from orbit as the only way to be sure. But I'm not sure - I wouldn't be surprised if Virginia creeper could survive tactical nukes.
