Our employer had partnered with them, but SoFi is a big name I think and had good rates at the time!

Student loan refis are tough because there is no collateral. Any chance you have a paid off car? If so a car loan against it, then use the proceeds for the student loan is much easier
You should check with your local credit union. They may have specific offerings for student loan refinance, I know mine does.
I did it through the Credit Union (DCU) a couple years ago with a rate of 3.75%. I just looked and looked heir current best rate is 2.5%.
My wife/CFO just finished transferring mine. She started with Credible, a clearing house.
Went through Credible and dropped interest rate by over a half on one set of loans and over a point on the other set. Thanks for the advice!
Do the Feds no longer consolidate their own loans?
That what I was able to do back in 2006 a few months after I graduated. Was able to refi all the individual semester loans into one at around 1.8%. Maybe 6-7 years it switched to Mohela for servicing, but all the terms remained the same.

Can I refinance my canoe loan also? I was a double-major in college for international canoeing studies and history of rowing. I minored in ponzi aquatics as well. BS degree from the Pontiac 6000 STE Institute.
