MarketWatch Investing Game anyone?

I guess so- if you treat it like a day trader.

But I have owned Apple in the real world for a few years, and have never done a thing with it. I've just let it sit, and gave made a lot of money.

I'm sure that would have worked over the past few years if you're investing in them, but trends are changing now That said I'm going to put things back as they were, I'm still confident I made the right decision in the first place and I should make even more after today, but I've already been bitten hard in the game by investing in hyped-up speculators' chew-toys so I find myself chickening out of bad situations since I don't know if the market will suddenly throw all logic out the window on a stock.

Trending is different than investing.

Don't intend to sell my real world Apple anytime soon.

Don't intend to buy any of it in the game.

Just came to talk about this. I'm doing nicely now that I put my Apple stock back as it was before

Edit: Me and my big fat mouth, it's still fluctuating, gonna ride it out...not affecting my total too much though.

Are people finding that their portfolio totals are correct, at least?

I'm trying to figure out exactly what happened that i'm showing back in the green again?

Interesting. I went back and looked at transaction history. Looks like a few stop/limit things i set up worked pretty well.

Something tells me we are all going to have a bad day.

One of my stocks which has been slowly losing me money since the start of the game for reasons I don't understand, is now eating E36 M3 real hard for reasons I don't understand, I wonder if I should cut my losses and sell it.

Same thing with trying to short sell one after it peaks at a 3 year high. Yeah.... lost $4k on that one.
