Fairly common here, the pad material rusts and rust jacking pops the lining off. Or a cone or two of lining remains attached, mechanically locking the rest of the lining in place until you remove the caliper for other services.
We recommend pads at 4mm for this reason and this reason alone. When they are old enough to be worn that thin, delamination becomes a possibility.
These weren't close to 4mm, over a quarter inch and about 2 years old.
They do use calcium chloride here but in the 30 plus years I've lived here I've never had it happen. The rest of the pads fell apart as a changed them so I guess I need to do pads a lot more frequently

$80/mo each for each of the 3 streaming services that had the NFC game.
So I watched an hour at a time on my PC for free on Fox Sports homepage.
Man, streaming is out of control.
And because the berkeleying universe hates me, I tore a contact lens last night while putting them in the case. And of course it was my last pair. And of course we are moving across the country today, so 1500 miles of driving. I have my backup glasses but they are an old prescription so I can't see worth a E36 M3.
Like I wasn't berkeleying stressed enough
In reply to stanger_mussle (Supported by GRM undergarments) :
Been there and I sympathize. It usually happens at work and the drive home sucks. So I can't imagine driving cross country like that. May I suggest going onto 1800 contacts and having them over night shipped to an anticipated hotel on your stop?
Cold sweats?? I've had a fever since Friday and this is the 3rd night I've woken up drenched in sweat. Never before in my life.
Hey thanks berkeleywads. You've known I've had this appointment for a month, I really appreciate the 22 hour heads up that I need to pull $400 out of my ass to pay for it. You better berkeleying find something. Useless berkeleying corporate medical E36 M3stains.

Know what's worse than Monday? Monday on a Tuesday.
Today has already gone on too long and I've only been here for two hours

Of course they are right more than they are wrong. Do you know how hard it would be to be wrong 51% of time?

Dude, I work with a bunch of people that make that E36 M3 look easy.
It was great to go to Florida for the Rolex, but there's so much deferred crap that needs to be dealt with now that I'm back...

That's pretty achievable. It's staying employed when you do that that is the trick

That's the easy part. Politics, modern day pop journalism, meteorology, astrology, pretty much any of the academia pyramid schemes where the only use of the degree is to teach other people studying for the degree, advertising. Plenty of career paths for being completely wrong or unreliable all of the time.

There is value in preserving knowledge and passing it down through generations, even if it is not technical knowledge.
How much easier can I make it for the person who leaves less than a cup in the pot? Motherberkeleyers.

Really? I've had one identical to it or nearly identical in 3 of the last 4 offices I've worked in.
In reply to Peabody :
I'd love to have one of those in the office again. We have a Keurig, and it's so wasteful.

I agree Keurigs are wasteful, BUT:
Given the slightly brown diluted crap that your average office worker considers to be "coffee", it is a joy to be able to pop a K-cup in and hit the STRONG button to get a decent cup that actually tastes like something.
Because 90% of the coffee I ever drank out of one of those common office machines was too weaksauce to deserve the name, and heaven forbid the timid drinkers add a little water to their own cup if they can't handle what coffee actually tastes like.

Just like the coffee should be.
I forget to take out my recycling a lot, and it's picked up every other week, so a lot of times space in the recycling bin is precious. It's not so bad when other people put their recycling in my bin, but it minorly pisses me off when they put straight-up trash in it.

This will start as a minor rant:
I was waiting for a replacement TIPM and FCM to be delivered by FedEx today. Any longer than 45 minutes of driving and the engine starts cutting out randomly. Same as before replacing the ecu last year.
Watched the tracking and it showed delivered, check outside my door, no box. Check tracking info and confirmation photo shows some guy I don't recognize holding the box with my TIPM in front of a house I don't recognize.
There is no way to talk to anyone at FedEx to try to find out where it was delivered or how to get it to the right person. None, no way, no how, just an automated phone system that will tell you your tracking number, but when you ask to get to a real person suddenly needs your tracking number, and won't get you to a person.
Minor win:
I reached the point where I was fed up with the automated phone system and was going to go over to the local FedEx office/distribution center and sit in their lobby until they figured out how to get my packag. I was clearing the ice off the jeep when I see the FedEx van pull up.
I thought fedex was at my house was for a different package, but the driver caught the error and and was dropping off my TIPM. Yay!
The TIPM and FCM are installed and everything seems to be working. It will be a few days before I know if the engine cut-out issue is resolved.

I'm with you. I drink my coffee black and I like it a little stronger than most.
This the kind of machine we've had the last couple places I've worked. We actually have this exact one where I am now. Internally it's like a French press.

In reply to No Time :
You can actually say "talk to a person" enough times that it will put you through. At that point say "it's not delivered, I need you to check the gps and see where it is so I can go get it". When they check and see a different address they will tell you that address and ask if you want to get it or have them do it. It's all in how you phrase it.
