Farewell, Mr Bond
He had a good long run and a well lived life. I'm sure most of us would be content with doing as well.
Farewell Mr. Bond.
Report I heard was he went in his sleep . . . in the Bahamas. If I had to pick, that would pretty much be it.
EDIT FOR FAVORITE FILM: Untouchables for me.
Loved him in Hint For Red October, but Indian Jones And The Last Crusade takes the cake for me. Oh, and this old ad for a Mazda Sentia. "Shentia. Shtriking."
RIP Sean

I also thought his character in "The Longest Day" was pretty funny.
Well, that is a bummer. I enjoyed just about everything I saw him in. One of my favorite actors for sure. And my favorite "Sean Connery" wasn't actually him, but "Sean Connery" in Jeopardy on SNL was just phenomenal.
Seemed to be a rather lousy human, at least at one point in his life with his comments towards hitting women, but I still enjoy his work.
The original and best James Bond. But more than that, with the other roles that folks have mentioned in his 80s-90s resurgence. My favorite actor of all time.
Rest in peace, Sir Sean. Hopefully you and Sir Roger are raising a glass together somewhere.
Jim Malone: He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue! That's the Chicago way!
Its a good mantra to live by. Life slaps you in the face, you punch life in the balls.
Tailwinds, Mr. Connery.

I am not sure you should judge him too harshly in perspective with history. With someone of his age, I am pretty a very large percentage of peoples common behavior and believes back then would be considered very racist / sexist today. Some of which are likely to bleed at least a bit into more modern times.
He is one of those actors that are pretty much good to watch in almost any role. I put Robert Duval in that category also.
