A woman from Ferndale, Mich. is suing United Airlines after she was left alone on a plane for hours after it had landed.

Ginger McGuire was aboard a United Express flight from Washington, DC to Philadelphia. She says she fell asleep during the flight. It landed shortly after midnight Tuesday but no one woke her up until a cleaning crew found her four hours later.

United Airlines says they are working with a regional partner carrier to determine why the plane wasn't cleared upon landing.

McGuire told reporters, "I fell asleep on the plane and next thing you know I wake up, it's 4:00 in the morning. Nobody's on the plane. Nothing."

McGuire has hired Geoffrey Fieger who is filing a lawsuit for false imprisonment, emotional distress and negligence.

Cummon people!! YOU fell asleep, they didn't give you a sedative. YOU didn't wake up. Yes they should have cleared the plane but you hire that scumbag Fieger to make you rich?? I see a dumb oportunist looking to clog the legal system.
Of course they wouldn't let you off the place right away, they gotta make sure you aren't up to no good. Now the real lawsuit would be being bumped and delayed 18 hours for, what a 60 minute flight? That should be worth 5 grand, this numbskull will get half a million.

I almost sad to say I used to live in Ferndale. In my time as a chauffeur in the Detroit area I had occaision to meet Fieger. I can believe this of him. The man likes to be on tv enough that when he remodeled his offices he built in a satellite broadcast studio. It's now one of four or so that the networks use in the area.

Yeah, Fieger is a douche and so is this lady for hiring him. False imprisonment"??? Maybe the airline should charge her for room and board? I wonder what an airplane costs to own by the hour, and the slip at a major airport?

I'd be pretty pissed too but this is a "nasty look" situation, not a "lawsuit" situation.

I once fell asleep on the school bus and missed my stop. I didn't wake up until the end of the route and the bus driver had to go all the way back to my stop. I got home almost an hour late and missed "Jeopardy" that day. I guess I should have sued. I really like "Jeopardy".

I did that once on the R3 in Philadelphia. I was just happy that I hadn't been robbed.

The suit won't go anywhere, alot of these bs ones get "bogged down with paperwork" somehow. I've got two against me right now that have come near a courthouse in almost ten years None of my plaintifs missed Jeopardy though, that would change things.

This is the kind of action where she wants 10k to drop it and walk away.

And who can sleep that soundly on an airpalne. I wonder how drunk she was?

This case will be tossed out. The woman will get nothing.
