Anybody else think the zombie autopsy was drawn out way too long?

And apparently no fear of infection going elbow deep into a zombie's innards with just some leather work gloves on? Or how about the foot long open gash on an arm and then covering yourself with a dead zombie while gushing blood?

Enjoy being eaten when the zombies come. The rest of us will continue to enjoy & analyze training films like this one.

I highly recommend reading the series. It's so good...

Maybe it all started with a bad batch of meth?

Jumping back to the "why aren't they shooting" thing, in an early episode, maybe the first, they explained that the zombies are drawn to noise. So I'll let them have that when they are out numbered.

And the subject of all the bodies in the cars along the highway. They didn't appear to have head wounds, but weren't zombies either. Just plain old dead folk. A little unusual for everything else that's been going on. Maybe that has something to do with plot points later this season?

As long as they don't go "Lost" I'll keep watching.

OK, so why is every single person so far not equipped with a correctly sized object that either is good at decapitating or inducing blunt force trauma to a zombie?

Herpa-derp. As someone said, they are making it too hard to suspend my disbelief at the fact already that there are zombies, let alone these retards who can barely think. Wouldn't it make sense for people to have discussed hiding under cars (an extremely legitimate strategy, zombies don't bend well to look under things).

Well, the main character was about to be zombie kibble in the first season when the zombies started crawling after him under the tank, but I try to chill out and enjoy it as mindless entertainment.

So like....whoa. CDC Virus released and now err-body turns? Glad dickhead is dead. Also glad season finale will be mega gore-fest. I'm pissed Dale is gone :( Great season. I kept thinking the finale was gonna involve "the others" comin through and shootin up the place.

Yeah, glad Shane is dead. That dude was a dick. I am happy with the second half of this season. The long drawn out search for the girl last season was BOOOOOORING.

I was waiting for him to be dead. I read all the graphic novels, so i've been chomping at the bit since season 1 for him to get the axe. I gotta say, Darrel is probably my favorite character though, and I don't even remember him being in the comic.

Yeah, Darrel was annoying me at first, but I think he is awesome now.

It is going to end up as a tuberculosis type disease. You will have it, but it remains passive until you die. Then it will reanimate you and make you kill everyone you love (slightly unlike tuberculosis).

Agreed 100% on both counts.

I'm a little surprised that I like Darrel's character, I've ruthlessly hated every character that guy has ever played(in The Transporter and Blade 2, to name a few).

"you killed the living for those you love" is one line from this season that really disgusted me. noone would ever say anything like that, in any situation, especially not the situation they were in when she said it.
the writing is getting really bad.

This is correct in the book (if you were just taking a guess).

From the few episodes I've seen, it's very clear the writers of the show haven't.

So much to like and the regular stuff to hate in this series.
It is a soap opera set in the ZA - hate
The characters show very little common sense vs the zombie danger - hate, but needed to move the series along.
The perils of travel in the ZA - like, Dawn and Zombieland showed some but nothing like this.
Medical care in the ZA - like, the woman in Dawn was pregnant but they left the mall before it became an issue.
Makeup - for a TV series, the zombies look great...hell, they would look great in a movie

The Walking Dead is following Romero's formula and just stretching it out. Romero's Dead movies are all more about man's interactions in the face of danger rather than focusing on the outside danger (zombies). Yeah, there was some gut-munchin' goodness too but the biggest conflicts were caused by psychological breakdown of the survivors...well Dawn had the shiny happy person bikers but still, man against man, not man against zombie.

Enough of the movie history BS though. I like the show. They need to quit blabbing, put a leash on anybody that wanders off alone and practice head shots.

Who else thinks (who hasn't read the graphic novels, as I haven't either) thinks that Merle may be a member (or even leader) of the others?

Yes, I know that's a lot of parentheses.
