I don't know how it happens, I was just talking with this guy at work who is going to look at a 1966 Mustang his wife likes. $7000. 289. Nice. He's got a house with a one car garage and a two year old. He said he is trying to get rid of a BMW. Really? Yeah a '72. Oh, says I, a 2002. Yeah, it's a Tii that I bought about 10 years ago; it's sitting at my parents house. It's probalby time I did something with it.
Hmmm. I know some people, what do you want for it?
You'd be doing me a favor by taking it away.
I'm either going to pass or flip it. Whadda you think?

How bad? Lots of cool stuff to do with a 2002.

+1 on "How bad?"
Defintiely worth a look and some pictures. Especially since the Tii is not exactly common...
Dan.
You are killing me right now.
Seriously.
I am dying.
Assuming classic Lorne Greene pose from Battlestar Galactica.
I would buy it for 15 times the purchase price.
go check it out! Can't hurt to look.
between this car and the $500 mini; may attitude is getting worse...

All my friends are jerks who never offer me cool old cars for free.
Why are all the cool free cars up in the rust belt. I never find those down here.

I think you just answered your question.
2002tii is worth $$$. Unless its rusted out, my only quesion is why its not in your driveway being prepped to put on e-bay right now.

yeah, this one requires little thought. It would be in my driveway awaiting my wife to come home and give me the WTF speech.
The only reason I can't absolutely hate you (as many of us do right now ), is that maybe it's not a real Tii.
Like maybe it's just a clone, or the guy knows nothing about them and puts Tii on every 2002. (For example, I know many who refer to all early Mini's as Mini Coopers, regardless of trim)
This looks like a pretty good little writeup at least to see if it's really a Tii:

Although, why someone wouldn't already have it in their garage, regardless of model or condition is beyond me....

Bad Karma.
Didn't we all learn something from the free Lotus Europa story?

Get it and sell it to me?
I think what you do with it, depends upon its condition. Either way it's going to be fun.

I could always find some way to spend it, but bring a 12 pack and I'll show you where it is.
My wife will just smile and goes back in the house so room, "do I need another car" kind of questions aren't a concern. I just don't want to bother.
A Tii powered Wartburg? European Sand Rail? You guys are off your game .

Yep, between the free 325 that had the 5 speed swap that I need, and now this, I officially hate you.
Too far away to hate, dislike maybe.

It's probably not running is it? If I could drive it back I would definitely come get it but I guess I don't really need another car anyway.

I was thinking boosted M42, since I have access to an M42 and a pile of turbos.
