I nominate you to the GRM all-star team. Wish I lived closer!

"Too much car for the street" = "you could've bought half the car and still gotten 100% of the actual performance".
Trade your van for one with a 60mph top speed, you'll notice. Trade 1,000hp for 500hp and you still won't be missing any power if you are keeping both engines in their respective power bands.
So you prefer a car that tops out at 60? Not me.

Huh? I think you missed what I said. My point was the van is NOT too much, because cutting the top speed would be very noticeable. Cut the top speed of a car from 230 to 160, for example, and you'll lose zero real-world ability. That's the difference.

Hey, I like to share when I'm able. It's a bit of a shame that so many GRMers are out east; there seem to be very few in Arizona.
I've had my C8 for about 10 months. It's a 2020 2LT Z51 with magride and front lift. I drive it every chance I get. I've put 6k miles on it in about 7 months of driving. It's a great highway cruiser (my wife falls asleep in the passenger seat on a regular basis). It's a great canyon carver. It's a great dragster. It will literally give you a head rush doing a launch. It can be quiet and comfortable or loud and obnoxious. Its limits are way higher than you can sanely reach on the street. You decide if that's a positive or a negative. It isn't perfect but it's the best car I've owned. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
And yes, I got mine in Rapid (Smurfy) blue. I've had a fleet of white, gray, silver or pewter cars. I wanted my sports car to stand out this time.
Yesterday it was 21dgF (Chicago area) and a dude's rocking a 35-ish year old Chevrolet Corvette at Wally World yesterday.
Don't you know that you're my hero....🎹

Is it legit? One of the Chicago Nissan dealers listed a base new Z in the upper 30's but had $5000 worth of mandatory adders.
I have seen GM/Ford dealers in the Detroit area advertise they sell at employee discounts since you'all work for them. LOL
Sorry, my bad...those prices are the employee, supplier employee, widow of an employee etc. prices. There's also an additional $2500 discount if you currently own a 2011 , or later Camaro. I should walk in and see if I can get the employee price as a retiree from a GM supplier...not that I want a new Vette. I'd find a manual trans equipped C7 first.

Sorry, I don't make the rules.
Not when you're 72 and fit the stereotype perfectly....

That's when I can afford the insurance.
What age is the starting point for this stereotype?
A 2025 is essentially the same as a 2020 right? Is there a benefit to spending that money on a brand new one vs using the powers of depreciation and getting more for your money?
I saw a guy driving his C8 (with Go Pros all over the body) in ~6 inches of snow yesterday.

nobody farted in it yet
you can order a non-popular color /w equally unpopular exterior insist it be made on a Tuesday and then say you have a 1 of 1 corvette at car shows (right of passage for corvette owners)
