F1 2019 PC G29 woes

I decided to go with a G29 after being pretty happy with my G25. The G29 is so inconsistent, doesn't matter what game I have PC vs. Ps4 same issue. I am using the logitech Hub on my PC which allows adjustment, but you have to set it up universally. Another strange occurrence is that in the Steam settings it shows the G29 as a Xbox controller. F1 2019 is strange because if I have it setup for Maximum Wheel Rotation for 900 degrees which works for other games but not F1 so I tried 280, 360, and now 400. I hate to say it but I really wish I could use my G25. I have done several searches on Reddit and steam and it's a information overload. Is anybody using Logitech Hub? Is there a better software? Better approach to fix this issue?

Steam shows my G920 (same wheel, but xbox not PS4) as an xbox controller.  It doesn't cause any issues though.

What is the wheel rotation problem you are having?

I use the logitec software, but prefer to adjust wheel rotation with the in-game settings vs. the hub.  The only game I have modified it for is Dirt Rally 2.0, the rest I use the full range.

I have to turn the wheel 900 degrees to make any turns, in F1 2019. I spent a hour trying to setup it up in the game and hub.
