In real time I thought you dive bombed me. In replay I turned into you. I still think there is a good chance you would've been in the sand without my help, but there is no eay to know. Racing the AIs in practice taught me to not try that move because I can't make it work. I shouldn't have assumed that meant you wouldn't/couldn't.

Practice and qualifying was pretty fun, but the race was miserable which is par for the course in this game.
I still don’t get the uncatchable oversteer in this game. I tried 5 different cars before picking the 458 and they all had the snap spins. No matter how much lock I give it at the earliest hint of a slide, the car just loops around. I don’t get it. Changing the setup seemed to make it worse, no matter what I did to it.
Anyhow, it was good to hang out with you guys again for the evening.
Interesting race. I had a couple close ones with cars that were parked on track or coming back on track. Argo had a fun game of cat and mouse going on for the last half of the race. I saw TJs 20 second start violation and was going to push it to keep the gap bit realized that if I did that I would more than likely burn the tires off the car and crash it so I decided to watch the gap with Argo. Argo could almost get to me but then I could see his tires give up and he would have to back it off. I also was screwing up corners 1.2&4 by leaving to much room inside so I focused on that and just made sure to hit my brake points so I would bring it home on the track.
During practice I road along with TJ a bit and I was amazed at the precision you drive with. Hitting all the marks and so smooth. That is what made me realize I was really screwing up the first bunch of corners.

No worries. The brakes on the Lambo are really good. I used the inside move there to get past the bots all through practice and qualifying. Under acceleration, most of the cars were just as quick or faster. No passing chance for me there. I need to work on that.

Yes, Yorkie videos are very helpful. I haven't made any suspension changes yet other than the rear anti roll bar and lowering the bump stops a couple millimeters. Hopefully I can find some time to make some tweaks.

Thanks Dean. I figured out if I slowed more than the AIs before turn in of turn 2, I could reliably pass them by the apex of T3. T4 then required me to fight my instincts to slow more and just go for it a bit. I think there is more time to be had at that corner but it is beyond me.

Not sure I agree with that. I had to take evasive action to avoid punting you in T1 as you drove Miss Daisy around the race track. You were easily braking 50m before my normal brake point.
My race was a disaster and certainly not what I expected based on Monday’s testing.
First my brain malfunctioned at the start. The green took longer than it apparently cared to wait and I jumped the start. I hoped that it would be minimal jump, but when I start to overtake cars that weren’t moving it was a problem. I tried to self penalize. I let off and tried to move to the inside of the track to let other cars go. I didn’t count on Air getting a good launch and trying to follow me. He was at full tilt as I was backing off. The hit pushed me to the side of the track and turned him sideways to get mauled by every AI car.
The whole incident put me in a state where I was over driving the car trying to catch back up to the leaders. I did, but it came at the cost of tire pressure. My rear tires went up to 30psi and were running hot. That made braking and quick change of direction very difficult and I failed at it more than once.
Later in the race I finally realized my issues and tried to settle my pace and I shifted my brake bias forward a couple clicks. That brought pressures down a couple PSI but at that point the damage was done.
I think I had race pace to battle and take both Argo and Dean, but I was let down by the driver. Monza will be a different story.
Looking ahead, I will not only miss Monza, but more than likely also Alagarve and Nurburgring based on my planned work travel schedule. I'll see what I can do to shift the dates so I don't miss the ring, that is one of my favorite tracks.
Sauce, do you have Spectrum as your ISP by any chance? Trying to figure out why only one of the two of us can connect at a time. We are in the same state, but 3 hrs apart, and I can't imagine that has anything to do with it. Wondering if it some sort of strange ISP related issue.

I moved just across the border to SC and have Comporium, which is generally terrible. I have never been able to get my PS3 or PS4 to get to Nat Type 2, even bypassing all hardware and using the raw line in (tried very briefly). I think I need to take it up with them, and will probably try tomorrow.
So Spa is the next bit of fun. I may be on tonight if anyone wants to run some laps.
Something I noticed last night was that the temps were up from the other day. I had to open my brake ducts up one click both front and rear.
Also the default tire was the hard slick not the soft that it was the other night.
Is that just the randomness of the game or was there a setting change or if it is based on the forecast I assume if that changes then the room temps change.
Also what time of day do you set it for the start of the races?

Argo with a 34.5 if I recall correctly.

So testing tonight got me a 1:50.6
Sauce was a 1:49.0. I had the room set up with all the settings to match the race.
i ended up closing up the ducts on the car and that helps things.
Oh. If your car does not like curbs you may have some issues with this track. The curbs are quite interesting.
