We learned this one from Tim McNair, our detail buddy. Buy a pack of bamboo skewers at the supermarket and use them when detailing the car. They're firm enough to remove dirt, grime and snot from all those crevices yet soft enough to be easy on the paint.

I also trim these with a razor into a flat blade shape, then use them as a non marking gasket scraper.

I bet that would be great for wax buildup around emblems and such.

They are also used in China as a discipline tool. It is very versatile.

Also handy for stacking alternating combinations of meat, vegetables, cheese and balsamic glaze for grilling!

When placing carbon fiber cloth, they are handy for dabbing a tiny drop of CA onto the sheet, then using the bamboo point to apply pressure and hold until the spot of CA sets up enough to hold the CF in place. Apply enough of these 'spots' to hold the fabric where you want it, then you can run a 'seam' of CA by applying and then rolling with the tip. As the CA starts to set, you roll before it adheres to the bamboo. Once the fabric is fully placed where you want it, wet with resin and smooth out wrinkles without worrying that the ends of the sheet will come loose or move out of position.
