Who else would have one of the most incredible collections of Formula 1 cars? That’s right, F1 Supremo, Bernie Ecclestone. And, at age 94, he’s now offering the race cars to the public through Tom Hartley Jnr.
Dubbed the Ecclestone Grand Prix Collection, it includes 69 significant cars over the course of 70 years of F1 and Grand Prix history.
What are some of the highlights?
Let’s try some of the cars that achieved firsts.
The first Ferrari 312 F1.
The Ferrari Thin Wall Special, the first Ferrari to beat Alfa Romeo.
The Vanwall VW10, the first British car to win an F1 race.
How about some championship-winning cars, such as the Ferraris driven by Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda and Mike Hawthorn. Or maybe the Brabham steered by Nelson Piquet. And, yes, that previously mentioned Vanwall VW10 also won an F1 Driver’s Championship with Stirling Moss behind the wheel.
More details to come about all 69 cars in the near future.
Bernie really couldn't have found just one more car to include in the sale? (70 cars from 70 years of F1 has a great ring to it.)
At any rate, this sale lines up well with the 2025 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion theming/classing:
