I've owned and raced big Healeys for the last 25 years. Without seeing this car up close, I'd estimate it at a 25-30K car. Healey'a aren't as nimble as Porsches or Alfa's, but as a GT car they're wonderful crusing cars.
If you're looking to buy a Mk. 1 Austin-Healey 3000 but want to stay within a budget, this 1960 BT7 may be what you're after. Austin Healey made two variants of the 3000, the two-seater BN7 and the four-seater BT7. Since the 2+2 version was produced in much higher numbers, you could get a little more room in your budget and your sports car by choosing the BT7: Hagerty values a No. 2 BN7 at $77,000, and a No. 2 BT7 at only $61,600. Find this BT7 on offer without reserve at Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale show January 11-19.
