Mercedes-Benz 300SL
The color and engine might not be original, but this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL presents well in Fire Engine Red. When it rolled off the line, it wore blue over cream. And at some point, the car received a 1958 engine.
In very round numbers, a 300SL is now a million-dollar purchase. So, will the changes hurt the value of this one, or does the fact that it can be driven and enjoyed make it more desirable? We'll find out when it crosses the block at RM Sotheby’s Amelia Island sale.
