The body of the Ferrari 308 GTB was originally comprised of fiberglass. That changed, however, in 1977 when Ferrari decided to use aluminum instead. In total, Ferrari only made about 800 fiberglass-bodied cars in total—with only 100 of those built to U.S. specification.
This 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB is one of those rare U.S.-spec “Vetroresina” fiberglass examples, and is reported to have only 7485 miles on its odometer. As well, the seller points out that “after close examination, we believe it to wear most, if not all, of its original paint and retains its entire original interior.”
Included in the sale of this 308 GTB are its original manuals, sales slip, tools and jack, and “the cardboard box in which all of the accessories came in from the factory with its serial number inscribed on the side.”
Find this rare fiberglass 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB for sale from LBI Limited for $285,000.
