Car Catcher: A First-Year, Numbers-Matching Shelby Mustang GT350

Sponsored Content Presented by Fantasy Junction.

The opportunity to own a real Shelby GT350 is one thing, but what about the opportunity to own a numbers-matching example? Well, this 1965 Shelby GT350 is your chance.

A first-year example accompanied by a letter of authentication from the Shelby American Automobile Club, this GT350 is reported to have rolled off the assembly line in March of 1965, making it one of the first 100 examples ever built.

This Shelby’s first owner quickly modified the car to “R” racing specifications, though the second owner returned the GT350 to factory specs in 1976. During that process, the front valence was replaced and a standard Ford gas tank was put back into the car–the only items regraded as “non-original parts” on the Mustang.

True mileage is unknown, though this 1965 Shelby GT350 currently displays 84,195 miles on its odometer. Find it available through Fantasy Junction for $489,500.
