Porsche’s 911 became a bona fide supercar with the introduction of the 930 Turbo in the ‘70s, and today’s prices reflect that: Hagerty's valuation guide puts the average value of a 1979 911 Carrera Turbo at $103,000, with the best examples worth twice that.
This car isn’t a real Turbo, but rather a pedestrian 911 SC Coupe with the steel widebody and Turbo drivetrain swapped in. Depending on your perspective, it’s either all of the driving experience at half the price, or a disgrace to Porsche purists everywhere. It’s currently listed at Desert Private Collection Motorsports for $49,870.
