The Super 90 was one of the most powerful engines Porsche offered at the time, with a reported 90 horsepower and 90 lb.-ft. of torque (hence the name). Many of these engines were placed in the hardtop 356s, but some found their way into convertible models as well.
Such is the case with this 1960 Porsche 356 B Super 90 Cabriolet.
Offered by RM Sotheby's as part of its Open Roads, The European Summer Auction, this Super 90 is considered "a suitable candidate for a full restoration" that was delivered to its original owner by Brumos Porsche in 1960.
This Porsche is also said to have later spent time in Italy and Finland, where, at some point, the black leather interior was reupholstered in red.
As well, the listing states that "this 356 could also be driven and enjoyed as is, and would surely prove to be enjoyable out on the open road."
