What’s the car that took Best of Show Post-War at the third annual Concours at Wynn Las Vegas? A 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta by Scaglietti. Its claim to fame? Finishing second in class and fourth overall at the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In addition, legendary names such as Giotto Bizzarrini and Sergio Scaglietti worked on the car back in the day. At Circuit de la Sarthe, Pierre Dumay and Eldé drove the car fielded by Ecurie Francorchamps.

For Best of Show Pre-War, a 1931 Duesenberg Model J won. It features a one-off Taper Tail speedster body designed by Weymann Chief Designer Gordon Buehrig. It was built for Walter Varney, the founder of the companies that led to United Airlines and Continental Airlines.

Next year’s Concours at Wynn Las Vegas will take place October 31-November 2.
