That would be a fun place to visit next time I make it's up to the Raleigh/Durham area.
On a recent trip to the Raleigh/Durham area we couldn’t resist a visit to Flying Circus English Cars, Ltd. This place—with its magnificent A-frame shaped showroom—is a like a visit to an English car museum.
We saw Minis, Triumphs, MGs, Jaguars, a Lotus Elan and even a Vauxhall sedan from the forties.
Founded over 30 years ago, the brother and sister team of Toby and Sarah Briggs carry on their father’s love of British cars, keeping these cars on the road for many in the Carolinas and beyond.
In addition to servicing and selling any and all British cars, these BMTA (British Motor Trade Association) members can sell you parts and partially or fully restore your British classic.
When queried, co-owner Toby Briggs admitted that his biggest challenge as of late is to find an additional tech who knows and loves these cars as much as he and his sister do. Ideally, they’d love to do more restoration work and get back to some of their own projects (two of which are a Series 1 Lotus Elan and a Jensen Healey.) If you want to live in this beautiful area and like working on British cars, give them a call.

That chassis up on the hoist looks like it has a more modern engine. Miata? Hmmmm...

Good eye ;-) The chassis in the photo is indeed miata powered. One of our favorite customers hand builds beautiful cars reminiscent of the early 50's Morgans. Each one is powered differently. This one was in our shop to have some rear hub work. -Sarah Briggs,
