If it’s super-desirable Porsches you’re after, RM Sotheby’s upcoming Monterey sale–set for August 18-20–is the place to be.
Fifteen unique Porsches are set to go across the block, each one significant in its own way.
Take, for instance, this 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Werks Spyder. Billed as one of only 10 examples built through Porsche Werks, the 718 finished first in its class at both the 12 Hours of Sebring and Nürburgring 1000 KM.
Another car with period racing history–in this case, SCCA and IMSA–is this 1967 Porsche 911 Coupe fitted with the rare, special-order “9552 Rally Kit.”
Like to take the road less traveled? There’s an old-school Porsche for you, too: This prototype Porsche Type 597 Jagdwagen. One of only 22 ever built, the Porsche features a 356-derived powertrain and selectable all-wheel-drive.
As a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the creation of Sally Carrera, the Porsche 911 Carrera seen in Pixar’s “Cars,” Porsche will be offering a one-of-one 2022 Porsche 911 model designed to be a modern interpretation of Sally Carrera. Proceeds from the sale will benefit both Girls Inc. and USA for UNHCR.
