What do you do when you come across over 40 museum-quality classics? If you are John Clay Wolfe, president and founder of Give Me The Vin, you auction them all off at once with your own special event.
On December 18 at Manheim Dallas, John Clay Wolfe’s Classic Christmas Miracle will see the entire 42-vehicle-strong collection cross the auction block.
While there’s something for just about everyone, including a Jaguar E-type Series 3, a Ferrari F355 Spider and even a customized Dodge Power Wagon from 1944, there are three cars in particular that stand out:
Out of the millions of Corvettes made since its introduction, this example stands as the fifth one ever built and the one of first ones sold to the public.
The Corvette was “painstakingly restored to NCRS Top Flight award-winning standards,” per the seller, and comes with copies of the original sales invoices.
1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Big Tank Z06
Less than 200 C2 Corvettes were fitted with the Z06 package from the factory. Of those, just 50 are known to have also been configured with the N03 Big Tank option. This Corvette is one of those 50.
Believed to be the only Z06 Big Tank built for export, the Corvette is said to be well documented and restored to like new condition.
1980 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition
The lowest-mileage Special Edition Trans Am? This 1980 model shows just 968 miles on the odometer and is offered in “100% original” condition.
Several pieces of original documentation are also included in the sale.
