I am sucker for the Type 34 Karmann Ghia. That red looks fantastic on that example.
The Little Car Show celebrated its 10th anniversary in style this year, with cars from a myriad of marques all nicely represented. With everything from Auto Unions to Glas-derived BMWs and Panhards to Elvas, there was no shortage of eccentricity to complement the big presence Minis usually have. And judging by the size of the crowd and the numbers of smiles, everyone enjoyed the selection.
The rules describe the event as “a fabulous display of little cars with up to 1601cc engine displacement and all 25 years or older” which added to the charm: We only recall seeing one Miata, for example. This free show takes place downtown in Pacific Grove, California during Monterey Car Week, and is presented by the non-profit Marina Motorsports. It's always great time, and it's criminal to miss the quaint old Pacific Grove restaurants and shops if you're in town for Car Week.
The Ford Cortina Mk 2 GT looks fantastic. I had one many years ago, but had it totaled in an accident. It was a fun car.
