That little bugger is beautiful! I'm so jealous of your project, skills and resources. Can I have a ride when you,re done?

We had a fresh Bugeye Sprite and a fresh to-do list. It was time to begin reassembly.
But, before we dove in, we would need a plan.
Before we put a single part on our Bugeye, we laid every part out on tables and shelves to see exactly what we had and what we would need.
There is an order to reassembling a car.
Stage one would involve making the car roll and steer. This makes moving the car around the shop and on and off the lift so much easier.
The next step would be to install the driveline. But even before taking that step, we would want to install any heat shielding between the transmission and the body. It is much easier to install this shielding with no driveline in the way.
Next would come the fuel and brake lines and the wiring harness. It makes no sense to install lights and accessories and not have the wiring harness wires there to connect to those lights.
From there we will move to trim, interior and engine ancillaries.
