Exhaust leaks are bad, and our Shelby had some. A decade of touring and bouncing the system off roads–thank you, tires that were too short–had caused our 12-year-old system to leak.

Leaks are easy to spot: just look for the black soot.

We marked each leak and either repositioned the system to solve the problem or, in a couple of places, brought out the MIG welder.

After a little bit of time in the shop, we were able to quiet our system–and keep fumes from entering the cockpit. We also retained our original Magnaflow mufflers.
