The Jaguar SS100 is considered the forebearer to the XK120 and E-Type. This one carries a racing heritage with competition history in the Monte Carlo Rally and the RAC Rally, the latter of which the car won.
This example was showcased by Jaguar in its brochures promoting the SS100. It also received media attention in period publications, such as Speed.
This SS100 underwent a thorough 10-year restoration to return it to its former rally-winning glory, which included overhauling the original 2.5-liter engine.
Find this 1936 Jaguar SS100 2.5 Litre Two-Seater Sports up for auction at H&H Classics, with an estimated winning bid of £380,000-£450,000 (approximately $474,696-$562,140).
