An American take on a British import from Japan | Sterling 827 Si for sale

It’s a Rover? It’s a Honda? It’s an Acura? No, it’s a Sterling, the short-lived Rover brand that entered the U.S. market like a lion in 1987 but soon slinked away like a lamb just four years later.

Think of the Sterling like an American-ized Rover 800 which was more or less a British version of America’s Acura Legend. Got it? Power came from a Honda V6.

This 1991 Sterling 827 Si offered by GR Auto Gallery features a five-speed transmission and an asking price of $6500.

Don't know what rover did to eff up a perfectly good Acura. I went to work in a Honda dealership in early '88. They taken on & dropped the Sterling by that point. In fact it was a cuss word.
