Want to make a splash on the concours scene with a Jaguar? This might be the one you’re looking for. This 1955 Jaguar XK140 SE Roadster reportedly scored 100 points at Jaguar Club of North America concours not once, not twice, but eight consecutive times.
The XK140 underwent a nut-and-bolt restoration during the late 1990s. From that time to its sale in 2009, the Jaguar was rarely driven. The current ownership has meticulously maintained the vehicle, according to the seller, and “barely shows signs of mellowing.”
The Jaguar comes with its original, matching-numbers engine and C-type head. The attention to detail goes down to proper fittings and hardware, cam covers, intake manifold and carburetor dashpots. Extras include matching side curtains, tool roll, jack, grease gun, reproduction owner’s manual and service chart.
Find this 1955 Jaguar XK140 SE Roadster up for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated winning bid of $130,000-$160,000.
