What would you consider a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Competing in Formula 1? Seeing Halley’s Comet in person?
How about the chance to own a car raced by Dan Gurney for his All-American Racers team?
One of just four lightweight spiders built by Lola, this T70 was purchased new by Dan Gurney’s All-American Racers and put into service in 1967, ending the season with mixed results.
The Lola was sold soon after and eventually changed hands several times before coming into the care of its current owner.
In 2008, the T70 underwent a restoration that returned the car to its original specifications under the stewardship of the All-American Racers team. The seller also notes that work completed in time for the Lola to participate in the 2011 Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
While originally powered by either a 5.3-liter or 6.3-liter Ford V8 during its time with Gurney, the Lola would later be fitted with a Big Block Chevy V8. Today, however, the car features a NASCAR Truck Series V8 engine backed by a replica LG600 five-speed gearbox.
