One of the most potent versions of the Jaguar XJS money could buy back in the day? You’ll want to check out the XJR-S.
Initially offered to celebrate Jaguar’s win at Le Mans in 1988, just 100 examples of the XJR-S were produced during its first year of production.
Power came from a “High-Efficiency” version of Jaguar’s 5.3-liter V12–developed with help from Tom Walkinshaw Racing–rated at just under 320 horsepower. (In comparison, the “standard” V12 was good for some 295 horsepower.)
Other special touches fitted to the XJR-S include an exclusive body kit, unique wheels and an upgraded suspension setup.
This XJR-S is one of the first-year models and currently shows just 2597 miles from new.
