The shop agreed to reinstall my wheels with the spacers and bolts I got, when they mounted the tires. Cool right? It would have been if they didn't put them on the wrong ends of the car... Kind of a surprise from a place like this, but c'est la vie. At least the front tires didn't rub on anything on my ride home. Anyway, pictures!
Before and after (correctly installed) wheel spacers:

Nice black bolts

The stock brake duct on the passenger side was missing, so I took the opportunity to pick up a set of the GRM-famous GT3 ones. At $40/pair, they're like the only affordable part Porsche sells.

Have you, dear reader, ever wondered how much suspension travel a 987 has? Well wonder less, because I measured full droop today! You're on your own for compression numbers. Sorry.

Rear:

Please ignore my filthy wheels and car. It rained and my samurai is still hogging the garage.

You should have a wheel hanger tool in your factory tool kit...

I wish! That'd have saved me $20. The Cayman just comes with a little compressor and tire goo. No spare or "assembly aids." Those are apparently reserved for the dealership parts counter.

Lol agreed. My eyes rolled so far back into my head when I saw that paragraph in the owners manual.
How the hell do you get away with selling a car without a means of changing to the spare wheel? That's messed up beyond belief for the money they are asking for these.

The tire goo will be our salvation. There's no spare to even put on.

Is there where I tell you I had to sit in a parking lot for TEN MINUTES for the car to tell me that I had enough oil? I'm loving this car but it's definitely got some idiosyncrasies.
Finally got a chance to wash the car. Looks pretty great at dusk.

Those who are so inclined can see a deep squat and a LOT of thigh in the reflection.
