35mpg and low 9's. I rented a new Nissan Versus Saturday for a trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Tampa and back and got 33.5mpg with a probable 1/4 mile et of 20 seconds. Something is so wrong with this.

Yeah, and you'll find out exactly what it is just as soon as you go to turn at anything resembling speed. That's a LOT of weight over the front tires.
Spoilsport.
Lightest diesels are still close to 1000 lbs...without a transmission. Given that, it might just handle as well as the aforementioned Versa.
