There's a PDX at Mid Ohio in August...I'll probably be there.

Congrats on your new toy. I test drove the twin to your car last weekend here in Colorado. It was an absolute blast. It felt much more nimble than the GTI or Cooper S that I drove later that day.

I sit upright to begin with and my hair was touching the headliner ( I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam). They drove ok and got out of their own way but I could not get comfortable. Also the suspensions were popping like something was loose. Enjoy yours but they weren't a fit for me.
The seat is height adjustable, if you were touching the roof I have to imagine it was raised too much. Even with the sunroof and being 6ft tall I dont come close to touching the roof.
That being said, it does have a taller seating position. I prefer this, but I realize some don't.

I had it lowered all the way, but I like to sit somewhat upright. I don't know if I have shorter arms or what, but I like my legs out stretched and my arms bent.

next week: Chris shows up with a new Abarth, and another Abarth as a rallycross car.
Man you guys are making me super jelly. I love that silly little car. Making my mustang decision feel a little premature.

Nah, Mustangs are pretty cool, too. I had fun test driving a V6 Performance Package model. It was just bigger than I wanted.

Weird. I'm 5'8" and 32" inseam, and even with the seats bumped up a bit I still have a few inches of headroom, with the sunroof option. I need to pop the helmet on and see if it works.
The exhaust on these are awesome but quite a lot of drone.
In person you would NOT ever think that sound came from that little 1.4
I just couldn't get past all of the chromed plastic door handles and reverse lockout rings etc. Ended up in a '13 MINI Clubman S.
I just got a flier in the mail from the local Fiat dealer. They have an Abarth for $16,429. I may have to stop by for a looksee.

You mean this one? 2013 FIAT 500 Abarth Hatchback
In reply to DeadSkunk:
I was quoted $20K out the door for a new Abarth. The one you found is a demo car.
Regarding demo cars, if you want the "mild" version, there appears to be two 2013 500 Turbo demo models at the lot I bought from, and they are asking in the 15-16K range for them, I suspect they'd go cheaper.
Here's the flier......

...and the photos are "for demonstration purposes only". So, who knows what colour the car is.
Well it wasn't me, but my son bought a 2012 500 sport yesterday. He also tried to justify both an Abarth, and a turbo model, but wasn't comfortable spending that kind of money on what will be a high mileage commuter. He's quite excited and shopping for an intake and exhaust already.
I'm thinking about pulling the Abarth badge from the side of the car. It just doesn't look right to me and I think the profile of the car will look cleaner without them.
Favorite color combination right there. That is an odd placement, maybe move it to the in front of the Abarth on the door?
