Best defense is having your insurance up to date.

Or two big black German Shepherds who are more than happy to run around off-chain and a Mossberg 590A1.

Locks are for honest people.

The trailer is used too often to pull the wheels so I went with the lock that would slow them down the most.

It tips the scales at 26 pounds. The 4 keys it came with may weigh as much as the lock that is currently on the trailer. That's a 30oz tumbler sitting next to it.

The keys are pretty odd as well.

Should send it to the Lockpick Lawyer.  I bet he could be into it in 30 seconds.  "Little click on one.  Binding on two"

Edit:  See he has a video on it AND its approved.  Wow.  He never approves anything!  Very cool.

I checked his videos before I bought it.

He is one of the reasons I want the Master Lock off of it.

It's always in my barn or locked to my truck; and it has an AirTag.

I have a Ft. Knox Lock tongue lock box with a Warlock puck lock on mine. It will prevent an opportunist from taking the trailer but a committed thief can still wrap chains around the tongue and pull it away.

Removing the wheels and a big chain are the best idea.

Came here to say this.  The locks aren't any harder to pick, but at least they have to pick it while exposed to potential cameras or passersby, instead of hidden between a tow rig and a trailer.

AIUI, the number of thieves who bother to learn how to pick locks is miniscule.  Most of the time it's easier to use brute force to get a lock off.
