good luck with the buy
I'm surprised you couldn't find one local for that money, there are leftovers sitting around here that they are moving for $12k-ish. One of my employees has one and I really like them, very MKI Rabbit for a newer generation.

Not in Vegas, sadly. Las Vegas car dealers understand that MOST buyers won't travel 200+ miles to the next city to buy a car, and they price accordingly.
(You folks out east might have 25 Chevy dealers to pick from in a 100-mile radius. We have 3.)
Also, stick shift cars are very thin on the ground here. There isn't ONE manual transmission Sonic, new or used, in Las Vegas.
Yes, I've heard that Vegas is a tough market for car buying through dealer.
I have heard that there still seem to be a mob/mafia vibe to dealership ownership and significant efforts to control pricing.
Add to that the idea that Vegas is like an island in that it is 3+ hours to get to the next large city in all directions.
Out of curiosity I searched and this website says there are 59 Ford Dealers within 67 miles of Central Cleveland Metro, Ohio.

You've heard correctly. I'm paying $10k +TTP for my Sonic. Similar ones in Vegas sell for around $13k +TTP. That makes me not at all opposed to a $140 plane ticket and a 5 hour drive home.
But I guess most folks would rather pay 30% more for their car and save the hassle.

Trunks aren't all bad. It is in bad taste to carry dead hookers and blow in a hatch.

No, and in retrospect, I'm glad I didn't. A new $17k Hyundai will be worth about $6k in five years. Let someone else eat the depreciation.

Wow, they have Hooker Occupied Vehicle lanes in Vegas? I guess that WOULD reduce congestion.
