I bought a rare thing.

Pretty sure that guitar requires face paint
You are probably right.
It's an interesting guitar, the tone control works as like....a graduated coil tap? Full up it's a total single coil and full off it's a total humbucker. Never played anything like it

That is a possibility I've never considered... but it wouldn't be hard to wire. I may try it on my HH tele to see if I can make it behave more like a standard model.

How rare are we talking?
They only made it from 84-86 and this is the 2nd one I've ever seen in real life rare
In reply to Antihero (Forum Supporter) :
That's pretty cool! I really enjoy seeing rare/unusual items.

Yeah! Weird Peavey stuff is my jam. The Peavey USA stuff rules.

Same as the coil tap on my old T-60. Didn't know any other 80s Peavey stuff had that too. Cool

I always wanted to like the t60s but I like big necks and I cannot lie, the necks on them are way thinner than I like.
I'm hesitant to buy a guitar without playing it, BUT I've been searching for a baritone...with an evertune...in a tele shape. The fishmans and reverse headstock are just delicious icing on the cake.
FWIW, I do dig my baritone. It sounds awesome through my Blues Jr., although my teacher told me to stop doing that.

Oh wow... I remember seeing those in an the old Peavey catalog I had. I don't think I've ever seen one in person.
Baritones are fun, I own a few including a 29.5 inch scale one.
Although it sounds counter intuitive they sound great when the bass isnt huge, very piano like because of the scale

Yeah, I'm writing almost exclusively in drop A these days. Something purpose built for that could be fun. Plus I need an evertune in my life. I'm moving away from floyds.
I have bought the dumbest bass ever. But I did at least buy a great shirt.
All of this is to fill in on bass for one gig for some friends, but it promises to be an incredible time.

That's awesome. I wonder if somehow the trigger could work as the pickup selector switch...

That's awesome! Is it from the same luthier who built(builds?) the fighter jet & space shuttle guitars/basses?

I havent played anything with evertune actually, I tend to pretty much like tunomatics and only own Floyd's or kahlers by accident
My new baritone acoustic. It sounds great and it was not spendy, playability is a little meh since the action is high and it has thick strings but on the plus side you can strum the living hell out of it without rattle. I'll probably go down a string gauge and see if it helps.
Here is the hand made guitar I bought from a talented guitarist which was his first attempt back in the 70s when I thought I wanted to be a rock star. It has an Ibanez neck and a walnut slab body from his neighbor's downed tree. He wound his own pickups and it has what he claimed were special custom wiring inside. I figured that since I can kind of play the piano and sax, how hard could it be? It could. I could kind of practice scales, but my left hand isn't designed to be twisted in the contorted proper angle to finger or play chords and not cause extreme cramps and pains, plus they aren't shaped like frog fingers to push down on the strings like Steve Howe from the band YES. I can't figure out how people can even play stringed instruments, the whole concept is just too alien and way beyond my comprehension abilities. My hats off to anyone who can. I gave it to my son and got him a Fender Mustang 8" amp combo so he doesn't have to play it through his stereo like i did.
Fender has released a Player Plus bass called the Meteora. It's quite possibly the first Fender bass I've ever been interested in, although the price tag is a bit steep at $1200. I love the shape, and the active preamp is a nice change...
