I dig the dog dish wheel covers, you never see those.
Can anyone identify the proud parents in the background? (And did they all get their ties from the same store?)
They definitely got their hair cut at the same place!

Those haircuts were GM issue, at least until DeLorean came along

Not sure, but one of them's got to be Harley Earl. Some of the Corvette sites I researched said the manager of the Flint plant was there as well. Here's another photo with some of the guys who built it standing with the execs. Don't think Zora was there yet, he didn't really come on board until the V8 days.
The 53s were all built by hand in Flint (only about 300 made) because the plant in St.Louis wasn't ready yet. All white/red interior. AM radio optional. 
How many have been built since? ( Not really a fan, just interested in a casual way.)

Looking at those figures, I'm wondering if I can pick up a good late C3 for less than $5K. Yeah, I'm a fan. Still cheering for em in ALMS..

You are right. He was still off racing.
