Sound Defects and Naxatras
Pretty sure those are the last two albums PS gave me
That's Sound Defects' second and final album. The first is Soundtrack To The Iron Horse, from that time in the early Oughties when faux soundtracks to imaginary movies were the thing. It's excellent as well.
Sound Defects are literally one dude from (I think) Ohio sitting in his spare room with a sequencer. As far as I know there are no live instruments on either album. Unfortunately for us (though good for him) the guy decided the music hobby was taking up too much family time (he also had a day job) so he retired from it.
You and I continue to be brothers from another mother musically.
Old school country was emo before emo was even a thing. There are a handfull of artists trying to bring it back:

My Son too. I sent him that first Speedometer song, he's gonna love it. He sent me this recently.
Now listen to that while watching the video it always reminds me of... and it's even better
Just put on the "Discover Weekly" mix on my Spotify.
1st up. Black Rain by Soundgarden off the Telephantasm album.

The big double Speedometers album I linked second is very good, but that Abbey Road Masters / Funk Sessions album is unbelievably solid all the way through.
[edit] I listened to the rest of that Diplomats of Solid Sound album - great stuff all the way through!
I know I've posted this here before - possibly more than once - but it bears reposting every so often:
