Launched in 1984, the first-generation MR2—the car that brought mid-engined magic to the masses—would get a swift kick in the behind in 1987 when Toyota offered a supercharged version for the North American market.
Known as the MR2 SC, the model was reported to be capable of 145 horsepower and 137 lb.-ft. of torque, with a 0-60 time in under seven seconds.
This 1988 Toyota MR2 SC is listed as an "honest survivor" that is reported to be aesthetically rough but mechanically sound.
The seller explains that the actual mileage is unknown, though it is "probably around 200,000 miles."
As well, the listing notes that leaking gaskets around the t-tops have been replaced, and two holes in the floor have been patched.
