Lane Motor Museum presents special exhibit on station wagons

Who remembers sitting in the backseat of your parent’s station wagon? Well, you might not have ridden in these examples within the Lane Motor Museum’s latest exhibit, “Station Wagon Style!”

It features American and European station wagons, with a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Lakewood as one of the highlights of the collection.

Other cars include:

  • 1957 Wartburg 311/5 Camping Limousine
  • 1967 Morris Mini Traveller
  • 1967 Saab 95 Station Wagon
  • 1974 Citroën DS20 Break Ambulance Civile
  • 1984 Wartburg 353 Tourist

Absolutely. I got to make it to the Lane Motor Museum this year. They're only a few hours away from me, but it seems to be worth it. laugh

I'm in the process of restoring a 1961 Corvair Lakewood wagon. It's receiving several upgrades including disk brakes and high performance engine as well as hadling  improvments. It drives great and will be used as a grocery getter/ do everything  fair weather car. Mainly it's because my dad bought one new back in the day. Good memeries for sure.
