While we had seen two versions of the front engine mount used on our Elva Mk VI sports racer, only one had an actual bushing between the cradle and the frame.
As bushings help prevent cracking and damp vibration a bit, we decided we should make a bushing for our new engine cradle.
Our Smithy lathe allowed us to quickly cut down a stick of Delrin to the right dimensions. We simply let the dimensions of the opening in the subframe guide our measurements.
