The Porsche 906 is a legendary car, and this particular example is no exception. Khandaru conquered Imola with this car. Let us explain.
With this 906, Khandaru, aka Italian driver Antonio Zadra, and Giuseppe Dalla Torre won their class and finished fourth overall in the 1968 Imola 500 km. The two also podiumed in their class at the 1967 500 kilometres of Mugello. Prior to that, another racer with an alias, Ermanno Spazzapan, aka Mann, competed in primarily hillclimbs with the Porsche.
Despite its active past, this Porsche 906 remains highly original, retaining its original gearbox and GRP body panels. The 906 underwent meticulous maintenance over the years, with expenses exceeding $60,000 recently. It’s ready and eligible for a multitude of classic events like Goodwood Revival, Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and Le Mans Classic.
