He's been mercifully missing from the roster, wondering if they finally canned his ass?
Tom Smith and Jordan Butler (both mechanics) were let go. Neither are proven to be mentally handicapped, although Tom is questionable.

Calling someone invalid is better than calling them retarded? That's retarded.

That was Horny Mike from Counting Carz I believe.
There's no bigger tools than that show. The Count ain't so bad though.
Datsun1500 wrote:RoughandReady wrote: Man, don't say retarded. Invalid is the preferred term. Jeez. Why do people get all offended over this word? Here is the definition from the dictionary:less advanced in mental, physical, or social development than is usual for one's ageIf someone is actually slow, it's not an insult, its the correct term.
Plus, you can't set the timing on your car to "a little invalid". That is just limited to retarded children, dwarves or midgets.
"Retarded"really gets under people's skin which is such a queer phenomenon. Weve been conditioned, it's just a word after all.
And this is coming from a guy who works with intellectually disabled people all day.
Plus I've never used the term to describe the people I work for, I've used it to describe "normal" people that do dumb things.
I couldn't love GRM the magazine more, but...
Edit: It is really too bad that the archive website is no longer accessible.

Your opinion is invalid.

I am sure you mean "alternate lifestyle phenomenon", right?
[Pretending to like retarded kids] "Those goofy bastards are about the best thing I've got going."
"Man, don't say retarded. Invalid is the preferred term. Jeez."
I severely injured my left knee, went through an operation and physical that helped only marginally. I can't get around any more, mostly stay inside, walk with a cane and hurt almost all of the time.
I'm an invalid or cripple if you prefer. That fool on Gas Monkey was quite possibly just acting like he slow/retarded/whatever you prefer. Any rancor, aim it at him for imitating someone who can't help their situation.
Regardless, thank God he's gone . . . like to know why "casting" thought that he'd make the perfect addition to the show. Makes no sense at all.
the fact that this hasn't been linked yet in this thread is just... retarded..
saw the episode last night when those two got fired... they played it up like it was some big emotional thing..

Honestly, I'd rather watch The Count and company on Counting Cars than the guys on Fast and Loud.
When I saw the OP post title my immediate question was "which one?"
Honestly, I thought Tom Smith was one of the more entertaining characters in the show. His buffoonery amused me.
